The HGA Expo Brisbane will be the setting for Global Coffee Solutions’ inaugural LaZumba Queensland Barista Cup in March 2012.

To be hosted at Brisbane’s Convention and Exhibition Centre on the 27th and 28th of March, 2012, the competition will pit Queensland’s best baristas against each other as coffee knowledge, passion and prowess will be closely evaluated by the expert LaZumba judging panel.

Global Coffee Solutions (GCS) is a dominant player in the provision of coffee systems to Australia’s Food Service, Corporate, Licensed & Service Industries, and is the producer of LaZumba coffee across Australia, showcased proudly across a number of Queensland Clubs.

Established in 1999, LaZumba has been producing multi award winning coffee for over ten years, specialising in premium coffee specifically developed for the high end cafe market. Featuring six different blends, the LaZumba range is made up of high altitude grown Arabica and premium grade Robusta beans, providing a luscious taste profile for all espresso beverages.

The LaZumba Queensland Barista Cup will be held over the two days, with the first day heats paving the way for a thrilling final day finale. The baristas will be judged on their espresso, caffè lattè and cappuccino production, with a strong emphasis on taste, presentation, preparation and technical evaluation.

Venues are limited to one entry per venue and all entries to the event must be received by Friday 9th March 2012, 4pm.
